The Arizona Diamondbacks visit the Boston Red Sox for the start of a three-game inter-league set in a clash of division leaders Monday night.

Boston is a -190 favorite at BetUS and the over/under total is 8.

The game will feature a pitching duel between Arizona’s hot Dan Haren and Boston ace Josh Beckett.

Haren, who’s 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA over his past four games, last played June 18, when he allowed one run and four hits through seven innings in an 11-1 rout of the Oakland A's. The win lifted Haren’s record to 7-4 with a 3.26 earned run average in 15 starts this season.

But the righthander has struggled on the road and against Boston, going 0-3 with a 4.62 ERA in six road starts this season for the NL West-leading Diamondbacks, and 1-3 with a 3.26 ERA in five career outings against the Red Sox.

Beckett is coming off a seven-day rest and is unbeaten over his past four starts (2-0). He beat the Reds on June 15 at Cincinnati, allowing just six hits over seven shutout innings in a 9-0 win for AL East-leading Boston.

The right-hander is also solid on the road with a 4-0 record and a 4.81 ERA in five games. Beckett has faced Arizona five times in his career and is 1-3 with a 5.65 ERA.

Arizona is 3½ games ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the division standings, but was just swept in three games at Minnesota to open a nine-game road trip, including Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Twins. Minnesota won as +135 home underdogs and the score went under the 8.5-run total.

Boston is 1½ games ahead of Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East standings, but lost two of three games to the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend. The Red Sox salvaged the finale of the series with Sunday's 5-3 victory in 13 innings. Boston won as -200 home favorites and the score went under the 9.5-run total.
